Women On Mission makes disciples of Jesus who live on mission. We learn what missionaries are doing and how we can pray for them, give to support them, and try to do mission work in our community. W.O.M meets the third Tuesday of the month at 10 am in the activities center.

Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
Matthew 28:19 CSB

Our Women On Mission group met for our International Mission Study about Zambia. The missionaries are working to bring Salvation to the people as well as training them to plant new churches.

Joy Hays spoke to the Women On Mission about the church work going on in her country of Thailand. She displayed several skirts from there and a beautiful tray, teapot, & rice bowls. She told of when the first missionary arrived there. Her hand-made egg rolls were a special treat.

Women On Mission studied about mission work done by missionaries in North Dakota on a Native American Reservation.

These are mats we made out of plastic grocery bags for the homeless. They are soft and can be easily wiped off. We also heard that some children are not living on the street, but are at a different relative’s house every night. This mat provides a sense of security for them, knowing they can take it with them. This is also more comfortable for them since many of these children do not get a bed, but instead have to sleep on the floor.

During our International Mission Study in December to promote the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering, we learned about what it is like to minister to Muslims in the Philippines. In addition to spreading the gospel, the missionaries help drill wells in under developed communities so the villagers can have clean water, sanitary toilets, and filtration systems. Providing clean water opens the doors to share the gospel.
